💻 Ansys Continues AI Innovations
Ansys SimAI is a cloud-enabled, physics-neutral platform that will empower users across industries to greatly accelerate innovation and reduce time to market. With Ansys SimAI, users will be able to reliably predict performance of complex simulation scenarios in mere minutes instead of hours or days. The tool will encourage more design testing, faster progress, and ultimately more innovation.
💧Reproducible & Replicable CFD: It's Harder Than You Think
Choosing an incorrect boundary condition with IBAMR resulted in spurious blockage of vortices at the outlet. Thanks to the support received in the code users' forum, this and other problems were resolved and we succeeded in replicating previous findings.
🤖 Simcenter STAR-CCM+ 2310 Released!
With Simcenter STAR-CCM+ 2310, Siemens is releasing a new unique 3D cell design capability to design lithium-ion battery cells with high geometric and physical fidelity. This new high-fidelity cell design template allows for the design of Lithium-ion cells in full 3D, with geometrically resolved electrode layers, separators, and tabs.
💻 Predictive Digital Twins: From physics-based modeling to scientific machine learning // Prof. Willcox
🔋 Modeling and prediction of lithium-ion battery thermal runaway via multiphysics-informed neural network
In this study, a multiphysics-informed neural network (MPINN) is proposed for the estimation and prediction of thermal runaway (TR) in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). MPINNs are encoded with the governing laws of physics, including the energy balance equation and Arrhenius law, ensuring accurate estimation of time and space-dependent temperature and dimensionless concentration compared to a purely data-driven approach.
