Deep Dream
DeepDream is an experiment that visualizes the patterns learned by a neural network. Similar to when a child watches clouds and tries to interpret random shapes, DeepDream over-interprets and enhances the patterns it sees in an image.

Tool of the Week
Final Cut Pro X
Some people asked me what software I use to edit all of my videos. The answer is Final Cut Pro X from Apple. I have used the Adobe Creative Suite in the beginning and the only products remaining that I use from them are Photoshop and Lightroom. Problem was that Premiere Pro always crashed or had some runtime issues. Another big factor for switching was the OS compatibility, I feel that every software that Apple brings runs way better with their operating system.
DaVinci Resolve (if you look for a non-Apple alternative) and Final Cut Pro X base their performance on the user’s GPU compared to Premiere Pro which heavily relies on the CPU (it is still a critical element for smooth operations though, make no mistake!) but as for load balancing, Resolve and FCPX prefer GPU from what I have researched. Rendering is a lot quicker which saves me more time in the end, for me that’s totally worth the investment! Apart from the fact that you pay once for FCPX and the Adobe Suite costs you a fortune if you are aiming for a long term “editing career” ;-)
